LINGERIE GUIDE

LINGERIE GUIDE

Some inspiration for you to choose the best outfits for your session!

Lingerie is typically an inquiring clients biggest concern. The thought often goes through our heads that we won’t look '“as good” as someone else does in a specific piece'; but I’ll be honest with you - it really doesn’t matter what you wear! Yeah, I said it, it doesn’t freaking matter! What matters most is that you feel comfortable, you feel good in what you’re wearing and overall - it feels authentically ‘you’.

If thigh highs and a pearl necklace isn't your style, do not do it! If you hate bodysuits, do not force yourself into one. This isn’t about what a boudoir "should" look like, this is about making sure you feel the most you. Wear what you feel your best in, no matter what that is!

Remember - bring as many options as you want, we will sort through it all together. Finally, don’t forget the client closet is available for in-studio sessions; but don’t bank on it, it’s only there to supplement or add to!

  • It truly feels like you can’t go wrong with a bodysuit! They look so good on all body types. To make your legs look longer, opt for a high cut. To show off the tots, opt for a deep neckline. The most important decision you will make when choosing a body suit is material! Opt for a body suit if you are feeling insecure about your belly area and want to keep that space covered during your session.

  • Bra and panty sets are CLASSIC! And you probably already have one in your closet, even if its not “sexy”. [Remember, you make the clothes sexy, not the other way around] The most important aspect when choosing a set is to make sure it properly fits! Even if you’re not purchasing from Victoria’s Secret - you can pop in to get measured to make sure you have the right size when you order online! Opt for high waisted bottoms when aiming to hid mid-section.

  • There are so many ways to accessorize your boudoir session. This is where you can truly bring in unique items and make the session extremely personable. Necklaces, body chains, nipple covers, gloves, wedding veil or garter, heels or boots, bondage toys, the list goes on!

  • A few things to leave behind :

1 - Anything you don’t absolutely love. You’re putting a lot of time, effort, and finances into this experience - don’t settle on an outfit you feel “just okay” over.

2 - Babydoll lingerie : As cute as they are in the bedroom, babydolls fail to shape your body. No matter how curvy you are, a babydoll won’t fail at making you look boxy. Your boudoir session is not the place for a babydoll.

3 - A shitty spray tan. Seriously! IT’S. NOT. WORTH. IT. I promise you would rather your natural creamy skin over dirty orange hands. If you truly must be a bronze goddess in your boudoir images - leave it up to the professionals! There are so many amazing spray tan artists in the area, check this list for my personal recommendations.

  • I strongly suggest prioritizing at least one quality lingerie piece; treat yo self, it’s totally worth it. When you find that perfect piece of lingerie that fits your body, your style, your personality - that in itself is life changing. Then to endure this experience in your cat suit; well babe, let’s just say you’ll never want to take it off and you’ll be super happy with your investment.

SOME DIRECTION

  • My favorite place to shop lingerie is www.playfulpromises.com - the best lingerie site ever! They have gathered all the top lingerie brands in one easy online shopping experience.

  • If you want to keep your boudoir look simple and timeless - opt for an outfit that is all about the fit! A few brands we recommend : CUUP and The Great Eros - you will also find many simple styles on Playful Promises!

  • If simple just isn’t your thing, there are so many really great companies out there that push boundaries with colors, fabrics and styles. Dora Larsen, Savage x Fenty

  • Nudity is 10,000% your call! Getting nude during a boudoir session is extremely empowering. Nude poses are classic, showing as little or as much as you want. Making sure that you are comfortable - you are in total control. This is an incredible way to connect with your body and celebrate yourself. Nudity is not mandatory - your session, your call!

  • For my masculine clients, who may not be into sets or nipple covers, I suggest to keep it simple! Start with jeans and a well fit t-shirt or tank. Invest in a few quality pairs of boxers or briefs, ranging in material - ex : silk, leather, mesh. Maybe dabble in a banana-hammock! Take this as an opportunity to experiment and explore yourself; just as much as my female clients. Here is a site that features multiple male lingerie brands : Male Storm Online.

  • Large thighs, small arms, stretch marks, nipples with hair, we love it allll. If loving, liking, or accepting a certain part of your body is something that you are working toward, I encourage you to show it off! This is an incredible way to celebrate your amazing body and all the wonderful things that it does for you.

Totally stuck on outfits? Don't you worry babe - I got you covered! The boudoir closet is available for all clients to look through and utilize. In the closet is a variety of pieces ranging from size XS-4XL, from robes to body suites to multi-piece sets. We also have a collection of accessories, such as nipple covers, glovies, and a blue boa. All lingerie pieces are washed after each use.
